    Backstepping controller design for a class of stochastic nonlinear systems with Markovian switching

    A more general class of stochastic nonlinear systems with irreducible homogenous Markovian switching are considered in this paper. As preliminaries, the stability criteria and the existence theorem of strong solutions are first presented by using the inequality of mathematic expectation of a Lyapunov function. The state-feedback controller is designed by regarding Markovian switching as constant such that the closed-loop system has a unique solution, and the equilibrium is asymptotically stable in probability in the large. The output-feedback controller is designed based on a quadratic-plus-quartic-form Lyapunov function such that the closed-loop system has a unique solution with the equilibrium being asymptotically stable in probability in the large in the unbiased case and has a unique bounded-in-probability solution in the biased case

    Expression and Clinical Significance of Antiapoptotic Gene (Survivin) in NB4 and Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia Cells

    To study survivin gene expression in APL cells and to explore its correlation with clinical manifestations. PML/RARα and survivin mRNA expression were analysed using RT-PCR. By treatment of ATRA, the survivin mRNA expression in NB4 cells gradually decreased with time and was almost undetectable in the 72th hour. Survivin was expressed in 67% of the 36 APL cases (de novo and relapse patients) with PML/RARα fusion gene expression. However, in 22 cases of remission stage patients without PML/RARα fusion gene expression, survivin was expressed in 36%. The survivin mRNA expression positive rate in de novo and relapse groups, and PML/RARα fusion gene L-type positive groups, was obviously higher than those in remission period groups and was significantly lower than those in acute leukemia groups. In 36 cases of de novo and relapse APL patients, all cases could obtain complete remission, irrespective of the survivin expression. APL patients expressed with survivin mRNA had DIC and serious infection (one patient died). The clinical symptom included slight skin or mucosa bleeding, fever, and asthenic for patients without the survivin mRNA expression. Later, two cases of APL patients with the survivin mRNA expression were treated by ATRA, induction differentiation sign in their peripheral blood and bone marrow figure was not obvious. It was concluded that the survive gene expression was lower in APL than those in any other types of leukemia, thus closely associated with clinical manifestation

    Influence of bushenhuoxue on primary visual cortex' BDNF damage in rat model of chronic elevated intraocular pressure

    AIM: To observe the effect of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)of bushenhuoxue on primary visual cortex(PVC)brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)in rat model of chronic elevated intraocular pressure(EIOP), and explore the mechanism of it initially. METHODS: The rat model of chronic EIOP was established by unilaterally cauterizing 3 episcleral veins, then 30 rats were divided into 3 groups randomly: control group, model group, and treatment group. After given drugs or normal saline for 8 weeks, the rats were put to death. The effect of intraocular pressure(IOP), expression of BDNF and ultrastructure of neuron cell in the PVC was observed. RESULTS: Unilaterally cauterizing episcleral veins increased IOP of the rat model obviously, there was significant difference compared with pre-operation(P<0.01). Semi-quantitative pathological analysis on PVC showed that BDNF of total area in the model group was(82438±2597.39)S/μm2,mean optical density was(1155.9±123.14), integrated optical density was(12915±673.28), compared with the control group {total area was(132370±7588.47)S/μm2, mean optical density was(5365±379.65), integrated optical density was(35102±2648.5)}, there were statistical differences(all P<0.05),there was statistical difference in BDNF of total area between model group and treatment group{(108980±9126.77)S/μm2, P<0.05}, significant difference in mean optical density between the model group and treatment group(3220.4±413.67, P<0.05), statistical difference in integrated optical density between the model group and treatment group(23821±3431.68, P<0.05). CONCLUSION: TCM of bushenhuoxue can repair the PVC damage in the rat model of chronic EIOP by enhancing expression of BDNF, improving ultrastructure of neuron cell

    Population Genetic Structure of Monimopetalum chinense (Celastraceae), an Endangered Endemic Species of Eastern China

    • Background and Aims Monimopetalum chinense (Celastraceae) standing for the monotypic genus is endemic to eastern China. Its conservation status is vulnerable as most populations are small and isolated. Monimopetalum chinense is capable of reproducing both sexually and asexually. The aim of this study was to understand the genetic structure of M. chinense and to suggest conservation strategies. • Methods One hundred and ninety individuals from ten populations sampled from the entire distribution area of M. chinense were investigated by using inter-simple sequence repeats (ISSR). • Key Results A total of 110 different ISSR bands were generated using ten primers. Low levels of genetic variation were revealed both at the species level (Isp = 0·183) and at the population level (Ipop = 0·083). High clonal diversity (D = 0·997) was found, and strong genetic differentiation among populations was detected (49·06 %). • Conclusions Small population size, possible inbreeding, limited gene flow due to short distances of seed dispersal, fragmentation of the once continuous range and subsequent genetic drift, may have contributed to shaping the population genetic structure of the specie

    Weakly supervised conditional random fields model for semantic segmentation with image patches.

    Image semantic segmentation (ISS) is used to segment an image into regions with differently labeled semantic category. Most of the existing ISS methods are based on fully supervised learning, which requires pixel-level labeling for training the model. As a result, it is often very time-consuming and labor-intensive, yet still subject to manual errors and subjective inconsistency. To tackle such difficulties, a weakly supervised ISS approach is proposed, in which the challenging problem of label inference from image-level to pixel-level will be particularly addressed, using image patches and conditional random fields (CRF). An improved simple linear iterative cluster (SLIC) algorithm is employed to extract superpixels. for image segmentation. Specifically, it generates various numbers of superpixels according to different images, which can be used to guide the process of image patch extraction based on the image-level labeled information. Based on the extracted image patches, the CRF model is constructed for inferring semantic class labels, which uses the potential energy function to map from the image-level to pixel-level image labels. Finally, patch based CRF (PBCRF) model is used to accomplish the weakly supervised ISS. Experiments conducted on two publicly available benchmark datasets, MSRC and PASCAL VOC 2012, have demonstrated that our proposed algorithm can yield very promising results compared to quite a few state-of-the-art ISS methods, including some deep learning-based models

    The title copper(I) polymeric compound, {[Cu(C10H8N2)2]ClO4·0.24H2O}n, obtained by the reaction of Cu(ClO4)2 and 4,4′-bipyridine (4,4′-bpy) under hydro­thermal conditions, features a fourfold-inter­penetrated diamondoid coordination framework. The asymmetric unit consists of two CuI atoms, three 4,4′-bpy ligands in general positions and two halves of two centrosymmetric 4,4′-bpy ligands, two ClO4 − anions and water mol­ecule with a site-occupancy factor of 0.480 (17). The CuI atoms are in a distorted tetra­hedral coordination environment and are bridged by 4,4′-bpy ligands, forming a diamondoid cationic polymeric framework that encloses two symmetry-independent channels along [100], which accommodate perchlorate anions and water mol­ecules

    Epidemiology and immunoprotection of nephropathogenic avian infectious bronchitis virus in southern China

    <p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>In last three years, 96 suspected poultry farms from different provinces in China were diagnosed for avian infectious bronchitis (IB) survey. Finally, 221 IBV strains were confirmed by dwarf embryo test and RT-PCR assay. By virus recovery trials, 187 of the isolates caused the birds died or distressed from nephritis, which was accordant with the clinical record.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>Based on epidemiology analysis of recent field isolates of nephropathogenic IB in vaccinated farms in China, YL6 strain were used for vaccination and evaluated by antibody titer and challenge tests. The immunoprotection test indicated that the practical application of vaccine based on the recent field strains could finely facilitate controlling the nephropathogenic IB.</p> <p>Conclusions</p> <p>Our study was aim at setting a guide for safeguard against nephropathogenic IBV-caused disease in China.</p

    OFDI of Chinese Private Enterprises and Deindustrialization

    Outward Foreign Direct Investment(OFDI)has a profound impact on the adjustment of industrial structure, and OFDI of Chinese private enterprises is the most important part of OFDI of Chinese enterprises. What is its connection with the deindustrialization process of China’s economy? This paper adopts the data of OFDI of Chinese private enterprises as well as the data of China’s cities at the prefecture level and above from 2005 to 2016 for empirical analysis, and the results show that OFDI of private enterprises significantly promotes China’s deindustrialization process. The results of further heterogeneity test show that compared with greenfield investment, the deindustrialization effect of OFDI of private enterprises in the form of mergers and acquisitions(M&A)is greater; OFDI of private enterprises in the eastern region has the strongest deindustrialization effect, followed by the western region; and compared with OFDI of private enterprises in developing countries, OFDI of private enterprises in developed countries has a stronger negative impact on the level of industrialization. The conclusion of this paper may provide enlightenment for China to promote the new pattern of all-round opening and industrial adjustment and upgrading
